Gibby’s Wine Den opened on March 24, 2005 at 2 p.m., after an extensive R & D period. Owners Randy and Jan Gibson had long searched for the perfect wine experience. Since meeting, wine had drawn them together. Through the years the ideal retail setting was not found. One night, on a long walk, the concept for Gibby’s Wine Den was drafted. Travels around the country to other successful venues massaged the model. With that experience, the environment that you can enjoy today was developed.

Since opening, the model has been adjusted to meet the specific needs of their customers. As with any successful business, change is necessary to insure vitality and growth. With that in mind, Gibby’s will continue to change!

Who is “Gibby”? Randy’s father was a football coach at Miami of Ohio and was affectionaltely called “Gibby”. As Randy grew up, his buddies gave him this nickname and it stuck. It seemed perfect for this adventure.

Gibby’s Wine Den is a family owned business dedicated to participating in the community. Customer Service is an important ingredient. It is critical that each customer feel the attention to detail associated with their transaction. Whether selecting a personalized gift basket or ordering a Chardonnay with a hint of oak, the Gibby’s staff will make every attempt to exceed your expectations. It is our goal to set our selves apart in the retail experience.

Gibby’s is also very event-oriented. Jan has a clear vision when planning events that wine, friends, relaxation, and food are all linked whether developing a private event for a client or an event for the public.
